Story of Moses ~ 30 Reasons

Tonight is opening night of The Story of Moses.  In thinking about the celebration of the last 30 years of productions by Power and Light Productions of Wauchula and thinking about all of the reasons that I can think of why someone should attend this performance, I decided to share a couple of things on my heart.

First ~ 30 years.  30 reasons.  The following are 30 reasons why you need to attend The Story of Moses this year.

  1. To help celebrate 30 years of productions of The Story and Jesus, The Story of Noah and now The Story of Moses by Power and Light Productions of Wauchula, Inc.
  2. To watch a production from the creators of shows featured in the New York Times, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Atlanta Constitution, Tampa Tribune, Orlando Sentinel and many more.
  3. To see the legacy of Moses brought to life in the flesh.
  4. To support the hundreds of cast that have practiced for countless hours to bring this to life.
  5. To support the crew of over 50 people that work behind the scenes to make this happen.
  6. To see this play that is only planned for this year ~ it may be your only chance!
  7. To witness the frequent baptisms that occur after many of the productions. Over 2,000 so far and countless lives changed!
  8. To see the hundreds of live animals bring life to the production.
  9. To see the amazing pre-show Pictures of Freedom showing a creative look at major events on America’s pathway to freedom and a tribute to veterans and active military personnel.
  10. To have some heavenly sugar covered donuts that literally melt in your mouth!
  11. To see the monstrous 250-foot authentic set constructed in record time by some amazingly dedicated people.
  12. To watch a play written many years ago come to life as if it is happening at that very moment.
  13. To experience biblical stories that you have studied and read in a unique way.
  14. To see Jesus ride in on a white horse and celebrate the second coming of Christ.
  15. To see elaborate special effects used in the production.
  16. To buy some great Jesus inspired things from their merchandise tent.
  17. To help fill the seats in the arena for record breaking, sell out crowds.
  18. To see visitors come to our little town from around the country and all over Florida for this nationally known production.
  19. To bring your friends and family to experience a biblical theatrical performance together.
  20. To interact with the cast and get some great family photo opportunities.
  21. To add to the over 500,000 people that have been spectators of these productions.
  22. To see some elaborate makeup and costumes to take you back to biblical times.
  23. To watch the work of an all volunteer cast and crew that have been given a unique opportunity to experience all aspects of theatre.
  24. To see cast and crew from over 35 churches from around central Florida unite together to bring this production to you.
  25. To see that God can use any man, including a murderer, to accomplish his purpose.
  26. To watch some of the defining moments of the Old Testament where Moses was used by God to perform miracles and deliver God’s people to the Promised Land.
  27. To witness the delivery of the Ten Commandments to Moses from God.
  28. To support a local ministry.
  29. To see the heart of a man that has endured 30 years of productions bringing accurate Biblical stories to life impacting countless lives.
  30. To see a live event that will capture your heart and shake your soul.

Second ~ Last year, during The Story of Jesus, I had the opportunity to visit with the cast and crew during the production. That is where my fascination of this performance grew deeper.  I did some interviews that I wanted to share.  So for the next 30 days which happens to end the last night of the play on April 29th, I will share a video.  A video showing the heart and souls of many of those involved.  So here is video #1 of a man that has been involved in the productions from the beginning.  Take a moment to watch it, share it with your friends and plan a night out for an amazing production!  You will not be disappointed.

You can purchase tickets directly on their website or by calling 863-375-4031.  See you there!
